Where to Eat & Drink

UPDATED FOR 2023

Dog friendly Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Sherwood restaurant patios and beer gardens welcome your pup with open paws. Find them here! Green means go, red means no! You can also search for dog friendly hotels, dog friendly stores, and dog friendly parks and services.

Please note that restaurant policies are subject to change at any time. If you go to one of the restaurants listed as dog friendly and find that it no longer allows dogs on their patio (or if you find a place that permits pups and we’ve missed it), please let us know so we can change their status.

DOGS PERMITTED 😍
We encourage you to call first to confirm the restaurant hasn’t changed its policy.

SORRY, NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THESE PATIOS 🥺
Please be awesome and respect the decisions of these restaurants. Do not take your pups.

  • Big Orange (Midtown)
  • Big Orange (West)
  • Brave New Restaurant
  • Buffalo Grill
  • Heights Taco & Tamale
  • Izzy’s
  • Loca Luna (While management at Loca Luna says dogs are welcome, be advised that the patio is very tight. Small, chill dogs would probably be okay, but with the potential risk to staff and other customers, we’d make like Nancy Reagan and just say no. As always, use your best judgment.)
  • Local Lime
  • Maddie’s Place
  • Saddle Creek Woodfired Grill

  1. I know that there haven’t been many comments in a while, but I just wanted to rave about La Terazza! I went there for an early dinner on Saturday and not only was it the best Latin food I’ve had, they were also more than happy to accomodate my fur-baby! It was cold outside, so I came bundled up and prepared to sit on the heated patio, however they didn’t even hesitate to offer us a table inside. Fantastic food, service, and dog friendly – I will definitley be going again!

  2. Faded Rose was not only very friendly to our dogs, they also brought a nice metal dog dish of water for our pups. We’ll definitely go there again.

  3. Maddie’s Place on Rebsamen is not only NOT dog friendly, but they actually denied service to us with our service dogs.

    1. Yes, they’re on our “No Dogs Allowed” list. However, if your dog is a true service animal as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, denying you service is illegal. If it’s an emotional support animal, they have the right to deny.

  4. Lost Forty is dog friendly. I brought my chihuahua and they were pumped! One of the brewer’s also had his dog. Diamond Bear is only dog friendly on their patio, which does not have fans, so too hot for summer. Core is now Esther’s and no longer dog friendly. We went across the street to Rock Town Distillery and they had no problem with my dog and their drinks were so good!

  5. Hello, I don’t know where to start asking this question and figure I would start here. Is there any options to arrange or form weekly dog play dates with a group? I have a 1 yr old Aussie who needs a lot of run time and I work a lot. Doggie daycare is great, I love it and miss it but my dogs got super sick with kennel cough and pneumonia. The cost is just to great and now I’m scared to take her some place again. I don’t want her to suffer but she got this twice in a 6 month span. Not sure how much I trust the dog parks as well. Maybe I’m over thinking it!

Any suggestions are appreciated and thank you –

    Holly Fish

  6. Has anyone ever taken their pet to Pettit and Keet?! I know it’s on the list, just wondering if they are allowed only on the patio and just how this all works!?

  7. Anyone taken their pup to Petit and Keet? Just wondering if they are only welcome on patio…. we are new to our Jax tagging along with us but absolutely love taking him places he’s welcome!! Thanks!!

    1. Yes, they’re only allowed on the patio. You can only take dogs inside restaurants if they don’t serve food (e.g. Stone’s Throw’s two locations).

  8. Nexus Coffee and Creative is very dog friendly. Even has a treat jar as you walk in. Definitely recommend. Great coffee. Good food. Locally owned. Dog friendly.

  9. Baja Grill no longer allows dogs, unfortunately. We tried taking our dog yesterday and they said someone’s dog bit a customer about 6 months ago and they don’t want to take the liability risk anymore.

    1. Oh, no! I hate to hear this. We were just there last night and considered taking our dog. Thanks for the heads-up; I’ll remove them from the list.

  10. We have visited Buenos Aires and The Root Cafe so far and had a nice time at both. Buenos Aires gave my pup his own metal water bowl and gave him refills and made sure we had a patio fan keeping us cool. We can’t wait to see where else we can visit!

  11. I love this list. thank you!! We own Go! Running in the Heights, and we have a shop dog. Love our fur babies. Always welcome here. Treats, water and lots of love.

  12. Could you make a list of stores that allow pets? I’ve read recently that Michaels allows pets and I’d love to know if that is really true. Also, the websites said that they are allowed in some museums downtown (which I doubt).. and Heifer International Urban Farm?

    1. Reagan, that’s actually on our website update list! Can you point me to where you read that Michael’s and some downtown museums allow dogs? That’s news to me!

  13. Pizza D’Action should be added. It’s a hole, but there’s always peeps with doggos on the patio.

    1. Sticky Fingerz is on the list, but I’ll call Dizzy’s to verify their status. They weren’t dog friendly in the past, so thanks for the heads up!

  14. Thank you for creating this list! It has been my daily, go-to list for meals since we’ve moved to downtown. We love having the option of being able to stop in at a restaurant while we are on our evening walks around the neighborhood with the pup!

  15. Bravo! At the Promenade will NOT allow dogs on the patio. I came with my pup cause I didn’t want to leave him at home. I request to sit on the patio and was told no. It was a company policy. They have no lost a long time customer over this. I will not be back by my choice.

  16. US Pizza just posted on their Facebook that dogs will no longer be allowed at any of their locations, because it is a “health department violation.” will this affect other restaurants that allow dogs? 🙁

    1. Jennifer, thanks so much for letting us know this important, and very disappointing, news. We are now working to have this regulation changed. Check out our latest blog post, as well as our Facebook page for updates. You rock for bringing this to our attention.

  17. We have taken our dogs to the McAllister’s off McCain Blvd in NLR a few times – they allow well behaved dogs on and beside their outside patio. We just tie them up to the fence while we eat, and they lay under our table. 🙂

  18. I have taken my furry baby to Bravo in the Promenade, and they were super sweet to him. They had no problem with letting us dine on the patio. On a side note; there are several dog-friendly stores in the Promenade.

  19. You folks need to check out a dog friendly liquor store drive-up window on Camp Robinson Road in North Little Rock at Neighborhood Wine & Spirits. One of their employee’s pups will probably greet you when you pull up and they’ll always have a treat for your canine companion. The new NLR Levy Spur Trail runs right behind the store lot, so you can ride your bike or stroll along the trail if you like and give your pup some exercise, too.

HOLLA!
